How Can SchoolSHARE help?
A common LEAN tool is known as “5S”. 5S is an approach to organizing the workplace in order to reduce waste and increase efficiency. It does this through having the right assets available, in the right condition, at the right time – “A place for everything, and everything in its place.” This also means that often we will need to get rid of items that we do not use – “If in doubt, move it out.” The application of 5S often produces a significant amount of property and durable goods that are in good working order, but not necessarily needed.

Once communicated if there is no need for surplus items, the same channel could be used to automate the sale of surplus items in compliance with complex legal Education Code that allows education institutions to sell their surplus in a public auction environment.
